Hanky Demo Night @ Apex

Ever since men and women have had clandestine sexual desires, their has been question of how to accurately and secretely display our erotic tastes to the trained observer so that mutual satisfaction could be enjoyed by all. In the mid 20th century, with the surge of gay men returning from post-World War conflicts, sexual propositioning among same-sex attracted men became codified into a colorful Hanky Code which allowed men to seek out their sexual desires of their choice. This class will explore the history of that code and of the leather movement in the gay men’s community as well as some of those fetishes.

Old business
- Shannon, he’s got new shoes, finally.
- Mr. Phoenix Leather contest: Loki is the big wiener, so watch out for events throughout the year.
- Southwest Leather Conference: thanks for all who volunteered at hospitality and other posts around the conference.
- boys in film: it was bad.
- Nasty Santa: we raised $330 for Valley 1 in 10. Micheal Weakley came to accept the funds and he was very appreciative.
- Anvil demo night: it’s on 03/31/2012 and will be called Fire & Ice Night. There will be fire, ice, wax and electricity. If you are wanting to bottom, contact Loki. All the tops have been arranged.
- APEX demos: Shannon is still setting up a Monday night talk for 02/27/2012. It will be a discussion of the boys and a history of the hanky code. If you want to present along with the boys just show up.
Anniversaries: Last month Rocko and Dave celebrated their 7th year and Marcus and Kenneth celebrated their 6th.

New business
- TNG Bowling night: on 02/102012
- Official boy photographer: Shannon decreed that Jim is now our official photographer.
- Shannon’s APEX anal demo: 03/26/2012 at APEX. Come see his rose garden.
- Super Bowl Party: 02/05/2012 at Kolbalt at 3pm. Come out in sports gear and bring a pot luck dish. This is Loki’s first event.
- Southwest Leather Sir/boy contest: first weekend of March. Come out and support Dusty.
- Imperial Court PR Ball: ? at Rainbow Cactus. This is Daddy Kenneth’s court event that he is putting together.
- Boys on film: 02/12/2012, an email will be out this week about location and time.

competition.

- APEX demos: Shannon is setting up the demo for 02/27/2012. He will be starting
a thread on the list to get volunteers.
- Anvil demo night: planning on 03/31/2012. Please email the list if you want to
head this event up.
- boys on film: the Devil Inside on 01/15/2012 at the Arizona center. Time will
be posted on the list.
- Mr. Phoenix Leather Contest: go to www.mrphoenixleather.com for all the
details and times. Come out and support Loki and Shannon who are both running as
contestants. Good luck to both of you!
- Southwest Leather Conference hospitality suite: we have the room on Saturday
01/20/2012 at noon. Marcus will be asking for volunteers to help with the suite
as well as helping with hot dogs and popcorn. The girls of leather will be
helping out as well.
- Gear night: will be on 01/28/2012 at the Anvil.
Southwest Sir and leatherboy: first weekend of March. Keep an eye out for emails
on the matter.

- Wax a bear: $1850 was the grand total that was given to Logan’s playground and Joshua Tree.

- boys on film: “don’t be Peter”. It was voted that we will vote online, so go to the site and vote. We will see the movie on Friday, 12/09/2011 at 8ish.
- Mitch’s fundraiser: for This Is HOW. It’s on Sunday, 12/04/2011 at the bunkhouse @4pm – 8.
- Zoo lights: Friday, 11/02/2011 @6. $10 – Join Justice and Loki for a fun night with the zoo animals!

- gear night: Will be on New Years Eve and will be at Daddy Kenneth and Marcus’s house. More details will be posted on the group in the next week or two.
