Old business
- Shannon’s improvement project: he quit smoking for one day. But he is working with Kenneth to try to actually quit. He also needs to reduce his carbon footprint by reducing his email signature.
- Gear night: started slow and picked up pace fast. It was really fun.
- Boys on film: we saw aliens and cowboys and ate Mexican food. It was good and fun. Good showing of boys (and Daddy’s).
- Chocolate cherub: Yuri and Matt both won the contest for the boys for the second year in a row. Thank you Yuri and Matt. Next year we’ll do expresso beans for the pups.
- Southwest Leather Conference: we agreed to sign up for the noon – 2pm slot on Saturday (01/21/2012) for the hospitality suite. We decided to do hotdogs and popcorn. We’ll ask Steven Bloom to do a bar card with with hot dogs between my (Marcus) buns.
- APEX: Shannon is still working on getting a Monday night demo setup to occur in October (tentatively the 10th). He will keep us informed. If you want to help him out with the actually demo (hanky codes), please contact him.
- Demo night: September 17 at the anvil when it gets dark. The theme will be Stations of the Hanky with 8 stations. Benefits the Phoenix Storm – the gay rugby team to go to Manchester UK for International Games. Peter will be sending out a list of the demos and requesting that people volunteer for the demos. Thank you Peter and Loki for setting this all up.
- Nasty Santa: Alan is going to be talking to Anvil about getting a day on the calendar.
New Business
- Camping trip: Norm is setting up a camping trip the last weekend of September. Loki will be putting a poll on the site to see who is going to be going.
- Boys on Film: Loki will be putting another poll on the site, so go vote. Tentatively september 11.
- First Friday with Justice: it’s her first gallery exhibition. Her theme for her gallery is Halloween, so she asks that you dress up. The gallery is at 912 5th St. It’s on October 7th.
- AIDS walk: lloydandscott.com, Scott and his partner are raising funds for the AIDS walk, so go to the site and donate.
- Justice and Yuri received their club pins.
